Parker's first Pine Wood Derby! 

Here's the awesome car Parker designed all by himself. We really wanted this to be his car. We made him draw several car designs on a piece of paper. Then he drew his favorite on the block of wood. We made him cut it out, sand it, sketch out the design he wanted on the body and choose the paint colors he wanted. And this is the end result. Dad of course helped but did not do the work for him. Dad did make sure it would go fast though!

 Love that handsome smile! Parker was so excited. He kept telling us he was going to win. We didn't want him to be upset when he lost so we told him that he probably wouldn't win, but that was okay because he made his car himself and just being positive will make this a great experience for him.

 Parker was right...he did win "FIRST PLACE" Woot, Woot!! 

 Here's Parker, Ethan, and Sam! They took first, second and third place. They are all from the same scout troop.
