Creamy White Chicken Chili!
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast cubed (½ in)
1 ½ tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp oil
2 15oz cans great northern beans rinsed and drained
1 14oz can chicken broth
2 4oz can green chilies (I only use one. 2 made it too spicy for my kids)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
1/1 tsp pepper
1/1 tsp cayenne pepper (this adds flavor not spice)
1 cup sour cream
½ cup whipping cream
In Lrg sauce pan, saute chicken, onion, (I leave this out but you can add a 1/2 cup if desired) and garlic powder in oil until chicken is no longer pink. Add beans, broth, chilies, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 30 min. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and whipping cream. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping or just throw them in your bowl.
