South Beach Weekend Getaway!
Friday May 4th we arrived at out campground, unloaded everything and went straight to the beach. We had been looking forward to this trip for several months

The Beach was beautiful that day and the boys couldn't wait to get their feet wet.

This was Jackson's first experience with the beach and sand and all it's glory!
Yes, he is really eating the sand...Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum!
The sand must have tasted extra good that day!

The boys sat on their bums and slid down the sand like a slide. Their pockets were filled with sand when they were done. Jackson saw what they were doing and wanted to join in.

Parker had a blast climbing all the trees at the campground.
We all went crabbing off the pier in depot bay next to Mo's (known for their world famous clam chowder).
We caught enough that we went back to our campsite and had crab for lunch. Yummy!

You can also catch these ugly little fish while crabbing. Yuck!
Ryan and I have lived in Oregon for nearly 6 years now and this was our first experience staying in a Yurt. A Yurt is a glorified tent. The campgrounds have a playground for the kids, restrooms and showers. The yurts have windows you can open with heat and electricity. This is the best way to go camping. We had a great time and will definitely do this again.
You can see how roomy it is.

 More beach fun.
 Sand Angels!
We stayed in a Yurt next to our friends the Eggleston's and had a really great time!
