Tanner's Turning 5!
Super Hero's Save the Day!
Tanner is an avid lover of all things "Super Hero" so of course that is what he wanted for his birthday party this year. He's been talking about it for months and couldn't wait for his big day.
Here's the Birthday boy all decked out in his "Super Hero" cape and mask!
When Tanner's party mates first arrived they were given their very own "Super Hero" Capes and Masks.
The perfect "Super Hero" pose!
Don't they look Awesome?!
This "Super Hero" party was supposed to be a sort of "Super Hero" training. The kiddos got totally into it. I had several challenges that they had to accomplish to see if they have what it takes to be a real "Super Hero". This 1st game was the kryptonite test. The object of the game was to gather all the kryptonite pieces scattered on the floor and place them in the basket without using your hands. The "Super Hero's" got really creative and did an excellent job gathering the kryptonite.
The second game or challenge our "Super Hero's" faced was the balancing act test. This game was so much fun to watch. The kiddos were each given two balloons which they had to keep from touching the ground by hitting them into the air. If their balloon hit the ground they would have to pop it and do the challenge that was inside their balloon. They all ended up popping their balloons, because they enjoyed doing the silly things that were inside them. Mica was our winner. She was the last one standing with both of her balloons. GO MICA!!
The next challenge was the strength challenge. Our "Super Hero's" had to push the giant boulder (ask bean bag) as far as they could. We have some seriously strong kiddos!:)
Super Tanner!
Super Kaybree!
Super Parker!
Super Eli!
Super Kjeaton!
Super Mica!
Our last challenge was the "Super Hearing" challenge. This game was so grand! I pre-recorded noises on my phone and our "Super Hero's" had to guess what the sounds were.
After all our "Super Hero" challenges the kiddos gathered around Tanner for present time. Tanner received some awesome gifts that he was so thrilled to have. Thank you to his awesome friends!
Here's the kiddos working on their "Super Hero" coloring pages while waiting for their cake and ice cream.
Tanner's cake! If you can't tell it's supposed to be Captain America, Batman, and Superman!
This "Super Hero" party was a lot of work...but as you can see it was well worth the time. Such a Happy Birthday Boy!
The goody bags had everything "Super Hero" in them. Playing cards, jump rope, erasers, tootsie pops, and coloring scrolls. They also got to take their capes and masks home with them. All in all I would say it was a successful party.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANNER!
