New Bench!

Well it's new to me anyway. I found this cute bench at the Salvation army during their half price sale. It was only $12. I've been looking for a bench for my kitchen table since we only have four chairs, which has worked out great, but now theirs five of us and I thought it would be nice to have a bench instead of trying to find a chair to match our table.  I have been working on projects like crazy lately and thought I had remembered to take a before picture of this but I couldn't find it so you just get the finished product. This bench is solid oak. I sanded it and refinished the top with a clear polyurethane finish. I also painted the legs a Krylon Peekaboo Blue and glazed them with my trusty Ralph Lauren Faux glaze. The blue matches my walls and all the accents in my kitchen.

This bench has actually worked out really great. I am so happy with how it turned out. Yeah for fun  projects!
