My Brilliant Bobcat!

Each month the teachers at Butler Creek Elementary school choose one kid from their class that has gone above and beyond in their classroom and showcases them during a special assembly. Tanner was awarded the Brilliant Bobcat award for the month of February. Woot, Woot! I'm so proud of him. Check out the video below to hear the wonderful things Tanner's teacher had to say about him. This kiddo warms my heart. He is so kind and caring toward others. Here's a picture with Tanner and his darling teaching Ms. McKnight.

A cake for my friend Ann's mom. She told me what she wanted and I brought it to life. I really only baked and frosted the cake and Ann took care of the rest. ;)

Merry Christmas from the Ferris Family!

Christmas this year was a little bit of a blur for me. Both Ryan and I had the terrible Norovirus Flu...ugh...it literally wiped us out for more than two weeks. I started feeling sick Christmas eve and then Ryan got it Christmas day. I could hardly function because of the fever and chills I had. It hadn't hit Ryan hard yet so he was able to be with the boys on Christmas while I slept. I did get up to open presents with the boys but I hardly remember anything from that morning and I certainly wasn't feeling up to taking pictures. SO SAD ABOUT THAT! Ryan was good to take videos of the kids but we didn't get one single picture. So this post is our Christmas post. The boys told me they had an awesome Christmas and they loved all the great gifts they received from family and Santa Clause. ;) We hope you all had a great Christmas and Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday Tanner!!

Ben Ten has officially taken over the house. Tanner is super obsessed with Ben Ten. It really is quite adorable watching him use his imagination to make believe he's Ben Ten. So, of course I can't help but want to bring to life a fun filled Ben Ten themed birthday party for him.I heart this little guy!!

This was such a goofy group of kiddos. They all go to school with Tanner and they are such great kids. The more I get to know these boys the more I adore them. There's Jesse, Conner, Tanner, Tyler, David, Hudson, Aiden and Caleb.

I'm always being asked if it's hard to see the cakes that take me h*o*u*r*s to make get cut up and devoured in 2 seconds...the answer is...not even a little bit. All I want to see is my boys big smiles when they see the finished product that I made just for them. Then I hope with all my heart that it gets all eaten up...with no left overs...so mom won't be tempted to eat it all by m*y*s*e*l*f. I have a terrible sweet tooth. ;)

Ben Ten Bingo was a huge hit! We also played Pin the watch on Ben Ten, freeze dance to Ben Ten's theme song and Don't eat Ben Ten.

Tanner was spoiled by his friends with wonderful gifts and by family as well. He's super excited to spend the money his grandparents sent. We love this boy!!

Halloween sugar cookie decorating!

It's a big deal at our house to decorate sugar cookies for each holiday. We make it into a big event by inviting our friends to join us. The kids look forward to decorating and they get so creative.

Here's Antonio, Parker, Jackson Price, Jackson Ferris, Jesse, Mia and Tanner! Such an awesome group of kids!!

Awww...these two boys warm my heart! I love them to pieces. Jesse is such a great addition when he comes to our house. It makes me so happy to see my boys making good friends.

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving W/ Ann!

Ann wasn't just awesome for taking our boys to the pumpkin patch to pick out their pumpkins she helped them carve them too! Yippy for no messes at my house!! This was the first time our boys got to carve pumpkins...true story no lie...I know worst parents ever! Pumpkin carving wasn't something I did growing up so I have never done this with my kids. Now painting pumpkins we*have*done and the kiddos love that but pumpkin carving was a whole new experience for them this year. Thank you Ann for helping us start a new tradition. She has all the cool tools and gadgets for making the experience wonderful.

The boys got to pick the design they wanted to carve into their pumpkins. Then they attached them to the pumpkins and started poking holes so they could more easily cut the shapes out with a knife. Pretty neat way of doing it.

This was awesome...Parker's first time cleaning out the guts of the pumpkin...priceless!!

Jackson was sick the night Ann carved with Parker and Tanner so she was sweet enough to come over the next night and help Jackson carve his pumpkin.
